Hearing Hannah’s threat, Elsa almost screamed, “Don’t bail on me! You wouldn’t ditch me over some spat, would you?!”
“Shut it, I’m trying to save you!”
Hannah’s tone was icy.
Then, Bryson’s horse surged ahead, matching the crazed pace.
“Release her horse and I’ll guide you home.”

Hannah gripped the reins, eyeing Bryson. “My horse’s acting up, I’m losing control! There’s only one move now.”
Bryson got her plan, his gaze hardening. “It’s too risky, hop on my horse!”

Hannah shook her head. “If I let go now, she’s toast!”
Bryson’s stare chilled. “If she bites it, it’s on her, not you.”
His voice hit Elsa just right, not too loud, not too soft.
Elsa, now scared stiff, felt like she could tumble any second, her strength draining, she cried out.
“Hannah!! You swore!! You can’t just bail on me!”
Hannah spun to Elsa, yelling, “I promised to save you, not let you croak! Pipe down!”
She eyed the finish line and then Bryson. “This mess involves the Austins, there’s no room for vendettas.”
Bryson, knowing it’s crunch time, nodded. “I’ll clear some space to prevent any slip-ups.”
“Hmm!”
As they closed in on the finish line, Hannah’s horse went bonkers!
She yanked the reins, barking at Elsa, “No fidgeting! Just grip the reins, got it? If you mess up, it’s on you!”
Hearing Hannah’s vow, Elsa snapped, “Got it! I am holding on tight! What now?”
“Just hang on, don’t do anything else!”
